Celebrating the 35th Anniversary, the Christmas in Ida Executive Board has announced the La-Z-Boy Family Concert Series will headline with country music legend Collin Raye presented by Meijer, Inc.

Raye will perform his four #1 Billboard Country Music Charts singles "Love Me", "In This Life", "My Kind of Girl," "I Can Still Feel You" as well as 16 other number one and platinum hits including, "Little Red Rodeo", "One Boy, One Girl", "That’s My Story", "In This Life", "If I Were You", and "If You Get There Before I Do".

Other hits include "Little Rock", "That Was a River", "Couldn’t Last a Moment", "On the Verge" and "Someone You Used to Know". To his credit, Raye has recorded 24 top ten records.

While charting 30 singles on country charts and recording a total of eleven studio albums, a Christmas album, his Greatest Hits Album, and a live album, Raye is an electrifying performer considered one of the great voices of our time.

Raye is a 10 time male vocalist of the year nominee (CMA and ACM), and was also nominated for the Country Music Association Single of the Year Award, and the Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist of the Year Award, and has won the Academy of Country Music Video of the Year.

With a blend of western swing, rockability and country-rock, Raye attracts country music fans of all ages and gender through his meaningful and emotions songs that are often used for weddings, anniversaries, and memorial services. Listeners have been drawn by his golden and pure voice that set the cornerstone for a respected career in country music.

Known for his work in social causes, Raye released the "Little Rock", anthem for those struggling with addiction recovery, and the song "Not That Different" recording ask for tolerance. The song "In This Life" became a wedding song favorite, and "I Think About You" won awards for its song and video which exposed the exploitation of women and children.

Among organizations he has supported are Boys Town, First Steps, Special Olympics, Country Cares About AIDS, Catholic Relief Services, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, and the Tennessee Task Force Against Domestic Violence. In 2001 Collin Raye received the Country Radio Broadcasters Artist Humanitarian Award in recognition of Rayes's issue-oriented music and his tireless charity work. After the death of a granddaughter, Raye wrote a song in memory of her entitled, "She's With Me", which carries a powerful message for families of special needs children.

Raye has won world-wide acclaim performing soulful and rich songs recorded under the labels of Epic Nashville, Aspirion, Country Roads, Starpointe, and Saguaro Road.

Kari Lynch is a singer-songwriter currently living and recording in Nashville. Her latest album "Little Games" was recorded in Nashville at the Legendary Sound Emporium Studios with Producer Andy Sheridan and features 10 original songs that reveal her talents of musical styles from traditional country to Americana and Pop-Rock. The album has been sold out.

Her singles include "West Texas Ground", "Nowhere Now", "Lost" , "Can't Move On", "This is Gonna Hurt," and "Two To Be Lonely" has been receiving radio play across the country.

The multi-talented Kari Lynch has a diverse and dynamic voice that reaches the soul with rock and Americana sound that make her music honest.

Kari Lynch has is performing across America and has opened for some of country music's greatest artists including, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, The Charlie Daniels Band, and Alabama.

Growing up in the small town of Clare, Michigan, Lynch is proud of her roots and is committed to creating quality music that has become known as traditional country with a twist.

The Christmas in Ida Family Concert Series opens its doors to the world on Friday evening with a Commemorative Concert in honor of the festival’s 35th Anniversary featuring the sensational and exciting Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus held at the historic St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus will perform a holiday concert of Christmas, classical, and secular music. Teenagers and pre-teens, conducted by Dianna Hochella and accompanied by pianist Joseph Jackson, will perform an inspirational hour long concert program of diverse styles, including folk songs, spirituals, sacred music, and opera excerpts to holiday music that will bring Holiday smiles to the young and young at heart.

Presenting a positive influence by today's wholesome American youth, the ensemble will perform an inspirational concert that will bring Holiday smiles to the young and young at heart.

Founded in 2007, the Michigan Opera Theatre Children’s Chorus is from Detroit, Michigan and is dedicated to youth interested in vocal music theatrical art. Children ages 10-16 with unchanged voices perform as an ensemble as well as with international opera stars in the Michigan Opera Theatre. Chorus members learn the various aspects of opera, including study, voice and movement techniques in a professional environment with internationally known opera singers and voice specialists that embrace diverse cultures and traditions.

The Commemorative Concert is presented by Senator Dale W. Zorn and State Representatives Jason Sheppard and Joe Bellino and is in cooperation with Cornerstone Baptist Church, Ida United Methodist Church, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, East Ida Immanuel Lutheran and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
