Light Up The Night Fun Run
The "Light Up The Night Run" is held on Saturday before the Parade of Lights and is a benefit for the Ida Links Program which provides peer to peer mentoring within the district. The fun run/walk will precede the start of the Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights and is held during the Family Christmas Fireworks Show.
Runners or walkers are required to "Light Up" using battery powered lights, flashlights, or reflective material, and run or walk the one and one-quarter mile parade route.
Check in begins at 5:00 pm at the Ida High School Cafeteria. The run/walk kicks-off at the South entrance of the Ida School Bus Driveway (next to Ida Food Market) at the front of the parade at 6:00 pm. Participants may gather at the High School cafeteria at 5:45 to walk over or meet at the starting line promptly at 6:00 pm. The entry fee is $15 per person prior to Thanksgiving, or $20.00 after. Entry fee includes a t-shirt and glow necklace for each person (T-shirt not guaranteed for late entries).
All runners and walkers age 6 and over are welcome to participate. Prizes will be given for the "Best Lit" or Decorated. Registration deadline is Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
